Four lessons of year two today (no KG's - my scheduled one was out on a field trip). At this point in their unit I wanted to demonstrate that sculptors need to plan and reflect before they start making their art, so today we made sketchbooks. I wasn't sure entirely exactly how fast the classes would move through them, but it turns out that we needed the entire period. The kids did really well and followed directions quite impressively, and they were pretty excited about it.
Tomorrow I'm hoping to go into one of the year one classes to observe - I'll let you know how it goes.
